Cash Machine User Guide

The Self-service POS Kiosk system utilises the Glory cash machine. The cash machine allows the POS system to take cash payment from customers, and to dispense change.

There are two cash machines:

  • CI-10B (Bank note recycler).
  • CI-10C (Coin recycler).

Under normal operation, the cash machine is managed by the POS order system.

Staff will need to manage the cash inventory. Below is summary of common cash inventory management process:

  1. Replenish the machine.
    1. Open TigerVNC application.
    2. Sign into the Cash Machine PC (IP Address 192.168.1.99).
    3. Menu > Replenish from Entrance.
  2. Empty the machine.
    1. Open TigerVNC application.
    2. Sign into the Cash Machine PC (IP Address 192.168.1.99).
    3. Menu > Collect.
    4. To unlock the recycler, click on Menu > CI-10B Unlock or Menu > CI-10C Unlock as required.

To clear a jam, please report to the Store Manager first. Then follow these steps:

  1. Obtain the keys from the store safe.
  2. Unlock the front of the kiosk cabinet, to expose the service area.
  3. Unlock the bottom slider for the recyclers. You can then slide each out individually.
  4. Open the relevant recycler. Note that red areas are for Glory service technician access only. Staff may access the green areas, by opening the relevant access panel.
  5. You can turn the feeder and gears (be careful to touch the green area only).
  6. Take a photo of the jam, and report it to the Store Manager. Remove the jammed material.
  7. If the jam is too messy, or cannot be removed without causing damage to the equipment, please stop and return the recycler back to the cabinet. Then call Glory Tech support for service – the service number is located on the inside door of the rear of the cabinet.

Once the jam is removed, the Glory Cash Machine PC will need to be reset, followed by the POS mini PC. Please follow these steps:

  1. Open TigerVNC application.
  2. Sign into the Cash Machine PC (IP Address 192.168.1.99).
  3. Click Menu > Administrator > Device Reset.
  4. Once the device reset is completed (takes a minute or so), the cash machine lights will change colour (blue).
  5. Then, you will need to restart Windows on the POS mini PC. It is located on the inner case next to the receipt printer.
  6. Once Windows has re-booted, please test an order using cash payment on the POS kiosk.

Things to remember:

  • If there is a problem with the cash machine, please report this to the Store Manager and the WhatsApp group.
  • Always leave the power to the kiosk cabinet plugged in and turned on.
  • If there is a fault with the machine, do not attempt to open or clean it yourself.
  • The cash machine is a sensitive piece of equipment, never clean or touch internal areas of the machine.
  • The areas of the machine which can be touched are marked in green.
  • Please clean the cash machine external surfaces using a microfibre cloth and non-staining cleaning solution.
  • A set of keys are located in the store safe. There are separate keys for:
    • Opening the front of the cabinet.
    • Sliding out the cash machine (red colour key).
    • Opening the cash cassette (yellow colour key).
    • Technical maintenance (blue colour key).
  • Whenever you open the cash cassette, please remember to remove all cash notes.

If you have any questions, please contact your manager.
